The beginnings of Grupo Cacaolat goes back to 1925 when a group of milk producers founded "Letona", in order to bottle their own product. The iconic Cacaolat brand was created in 1933 and was later to give name to the whole company.
Cacaolat was the first ever cocoa milkshake to be industrially produced anywhere in the world. Its secret formula has remained unchanged for over 80 years and several generations have enjoyed and still enjoy the pleasure of real cocoa at breakfast and tea-time.
In February 2012, Grupo Damm and Cobega bought the company to give new impetus and to bring Cacaolat, the authentic cocoa milkshake, to all four corners of the globe.
